Gamebooks – a cultural phenomenon

You know you’re reading a gamebook when the book starts talking to you

If you grew up during the 80s or 90s, chances are you had a few Choose Your Own Adventure books on the bookshelf. Or maybe you would have seen some at school, or perhaps your best friend’s older brother had a box of them hidden away somewhere.

One step closer to reality

"Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, hear the lamentations of their women."

This quote from 1982’s “Conan the Barbarian” has somewhat stuck with me for the past 4 years, its recurring question echoing in my head: “What is best in life?” I have always wanted to obtain such knowledge and be as confident as Conan when it comes to the path in life I’ve chosen.
